This wonderful Stilton has a rich and creamy taste, which intensives with age. Pair with a port or a full bodied red wine.
Colston Bassett Stilton is one of the last hand-ladled Stiltons, which gives this cheese it’s rich flavour and creamy texture. Made in Nottinghamshire, Colston Bassett has got one of the best reputations for Stitlon, in the country. A protected cheese, Stilton can now only be made in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, although it’s routes stem from the 18th century, when it was eaten at The Bell Inn, in the village of Stilton in Cambridgeshire.
Each piece is wrapped and then put in a bag. Keep refrigerated but best served at room temperature.
