Step 1
Prepare the breadcrumbs and cheese. Pre-heat the oven atĀ 220Ā°C, Gas Mark 7. Grease a large tin. Place the Mince Beef and Lamb in a bowl and add the breadcrumbs, cheese and eggs. Crush the garlic cloves and add basil and a pinch of salt and pepper to the mix for seasoning.

Step 2
Mix with you hands and ensure all the ingredients are mixed well and not clumped together.

Step 3
Using damp hands, roll the mixture into small balls (approx 12).

Step 4
Place in the centre of the pre-heated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 5
While the Meatballs are cooking, it’s time to prepare the sauce. Bring a pan with a splash of oil on a low-medium heat and add the Onion, Tomatoes, Passata sieved Tomatoes and pinch of salt and pepper for seasoning. Allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6
Take the Meatballs out of the oven, after 15-20 minutes and add to sauce. Cover the meatballs in the sauce, garnish with basil and allow to simmer for a further 15 minutes.

Step 7
Serve hot with pasta and warm crusty bread and grate the Pecorino over. Enjoy!
